Donations are also welcome

Since its inception, the Toronto Japanese Garden Club has been funded by members, through membership fees, and generous donations from community members and the business community. We are a nonprofit group, and donations help us with our stewardship efforts, to plan and offer special events, and to provide workshops.

Volunteer with Us

In 2019, the TJGC began stewardship of the Japanese gardens at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC).

With a group of volunteers meeting during the growing season from April to October, we weed, prune, plant, mulch, fertilize, transplant and move soil, gravel, pebbles and rocks, while enjoying the camaraderie of working together in a beautiful outdoor setting.

It is both a learning and working experience as we share techniques and learn from each other. We start gardening as soon as the weather gets warmer, restrictions permitting.

Similar efforts are underway at Momiji Health Care Society.

If you are interested in joining the volunteer gardeners, please contact us.
